      Agency Web sites provide information about real estate licensing, statutes, regulations, and a wealth of other related information and links to other sites with related information.  Many sites allow ordering of printed versions of official publications and viewing/downloading of any periodic newsletters published by the agency.  Most sites provide direct access to detailed information about licensees.

      It is now relatively easy for a person to verify the license status and disciplinary history (if any) of licensees whom they are considering employing as a  broker and/or sales agent or as a property manager.  Since real property is the most important asset most people will own in their lifetime, it is recommended that you check the agent's license status and record before hiring an agent about whom you do not have personal knowledge.
