  • Thomas Our favorite. A well done, Mr. Newt mandated, legislative research service of the Library of Congress.
  • GPO Gate: UC-San Diego A great resource for the Federal Register, legislation and other Government Printing Office documents. This site has better search tools than other GPO providers.
  • GPO Access: Purdue An alternative site for GPO documents.
  • GPO Access: Tennessee Another alternative site for GPO documents.
  • Federal Government Resources on the Web Provides links to federal government sources.
  • Federal Web Locator Provides links to all federal web sites.
  • General Accounting Office The GAO is the investigative arm of Congress. The site provides reports, audits and testimony on HUD and housing programs.
  • U.S. Code This link goes directly to Title 42, Chapter 8 (federal laws for low-income housing).
  • HUD USER (HUD's) Office of Policy Development and Research (PD&R) is responsible for maintaining current information on housing needs, market conditions, and existing programs, as well as conducting research on priority housing and community development issues. The Office provides reliable and objective data and analysis to help inform policy decisions. Features policy briefs, research and other valuable HUD information.
  • Code of Federal Regulations This new site is available through the U.S. House of Representatives Internet Law Library. It provides free access to the CFR. The search tool is somewhat cumbersome, but may improve as the site is further developed.
  • HOME Investment in Affordable Housing (HOME Program)
  • Housing Reform Bills This link provides the House and Senate housing reform bills for viewing or downloading. NOTE: The Senate bill is S. 1260. The House-passed version of H.R. 2406 is now officially listed as an Engrossed House Amendment to S. 1260.
